This August 2023 marks Spring Dance Hot Tubs’ 25th Anniversary

What started with one man, one van, one store, and one rambunctious puppy, turned into a thriving four-location, one-stop shop for all things hot tubs, swim spas and saunas.

Take a trip down memory lane to where Spring Dance Hot Tubs began and where we are today:

August 1998:

Dan Sine opened the first location at 2235 York Road in Jamison. Long time locals still remember when the building was a roller skating rink, and the floor of the storage warehouse was the original wooden rink floor!

Dan opened the first location carrying two top-selling brands: Hot Spring Portable Spas and Sundance Spas. The combination of both names is how the company got its name (Spring Dance Hot Tubs) Even 25 years ago, these two brands were leaders in the hot tub industry, and Spring Dance Hot Tubs was able to bring them to the Doylestown and Bucks County area for the first time.

In those early days of Spring Dance Hot Tubs, Dan operated the store with 1 part-time employee, selling hot tubs, testing water, and delivering spas in a white,1998 Isuzu Trooper with a chocolate lab puppy (Champ) by his side.

Legend has it that the very first customer of Spring Dance Hot Tubs was a guy named Jerry DiPinto. Jerry loved his hot tub so much he went on to work part time selling hot tubs on the weekends and during special events for Spring Dance. In 2018, Jerry came to work for the company full-time, and he just retired this past Spring 2023.

In 2000, a long time friend of Dan’s named Jeff Bailey started working at Spring Dance selling hot tubs. Jeff proved to be an incredible sales person, and he is a huge reason why the Hot Spring Grandee became our #1 selling hot tub (and it still is to this day!).

2001 brought Spring Dance Hot Tubs’ first expansion into Chester County. We opened our location in Exton (just down the road from where our showroom is currently).

In 2003 we expanded again, opening in Maple Shade, NJ. Our NJ location has moved around a few times over the years. We went to West Berlin next, sharing a location with Piper Pools, and finally landed at our current showroom in Marlton, Evesham Township, NJ.

In 2005 we opened our flagship location in Jamison at 2400 York Road. This 4,500+ square foot showroom offered us the ability to showcase 25+ hot tub models, swim spas and saunas, as well as host our growing team of back office employees, plus it had workspace for our busy service department!

2009: We brought on Caldera Spas

2012: We started selling Freeflow Spas

In 2018, Dan the hot-tub-man, handed over his title and the reins of Spring Dance Hot Tubs and sold the company to long-time friend, employee and partner, Jeff Bailey.

Jeff went on to run Spring Dance Hot Tubs through those early tumultuous Covid days, to the insane days that followed when inventory was tight and everyone wanted a way to relax in their backyards during those long days at home.

2020: We started carrying Tropic Seas Spas.

In 2022 we opened our fourth location in Plymouth Meeting, primely located across from the Plymouth Meeting Mall and the Whole Foods entrance on Germantown Pike.

Jeff Bailey sold the company to Leslie’s Pools in June 2022.

Throughout all the transitions, different owners, new locations and beyond, one thing has remained consistent: Our mission has been To promote health, relaxation and family-togetherness through the sales of high-quality hot tubs and related products, one backyard at a time, and to provide outstanding customer service that exceeds our customer’s expectations.
